Susan Slater-Tanner, a resident of Orange County, New York for over twenty-five years, has taught Art History at a number of local universities including SUNY Orange, Pace University, and SUNY New Paltz. Her specialty is twentieth century/modern art as well as a concentration on women in art history. Assistant Professor Slater-Tanner has been the Director of the Harriman Student Gallery at SUNY Orange for over eight years located at the Middletown campus where she has taught for over nine years. Research and the pursuit of art history takes the professor around the world. When she returns to Orange County she lectures locally on a number of art related subjects.
